The Chicago flag was adopted in 1917 and with only two stars. In 1933 and 1939 a third and fourth star were added. The top bar symbolizes Lake Michigan and the north branch of the Chicago river. The south bar represents the ‘Great Canal’ over the ‘Chicago Portage’ and the south branch of the Chicago river. It is continually ranked in the top three city flags in the United States, usually after the District of Columbia.

While making products for another company, a member of Chicago SWAT contacted the company to see if we could make the Chicago flag and a laser cut soft version of the badge. This was 2017 and it is still one of my favorites.
